Math Enrichment for Independent Study Students

going to offer interactive math assessments of common core standards with feedback to the student.

The idea is help students learn math using computer based interactive assessments with question

feedback for missed questions.

I am currently a middle school teacher teaching 8th graders common core math subjects of Math 8 and

Accelerated Algebra 1; which is part Math 8 and all of Algebra 1. I have taught all high school math

courses including AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. So I know the math courses that a 8th grader

needs to know as well as those they will take in high school.

I am looking for 8 or more students that are 8th graders taking either Math 8 or Accelerated Algebra 1.

The price of the service will be $25 per week paid 4 weeks in advance. I am looking for members now

and for the service to start the second week of January. My plan is to start on Geometry course after

completing the Math 8 and Accelerated Algebra 1.

Essentially the service is going to offer interactive math assessments of common core standards with

feedback to the student. The idea is to make sure students are assessed for math standards

associated with the math course. More importantly, I can adjust the type of test questions as I learn

more about what students know and do not know and do remedial questions with feedback to help

students eliminate misunderstandings of math problem solving. In addition, the service will offer a

means for parents to check how well their student performs on assessments.

The money is used to pay for the server hosted access of the software and to compensate me for 100s

of hours it takes to design test questions with feedback and loading them into computer based test

assessment software.
